Healthcare project
On the 12th September, Grace (a nurse from the UK) started a healthcare project in Debaga camp, to teach the women there about healthcare. There were 5 lectures, each about 1 hour long. Approximately 40 women came, most of them IDP’s from Mosul.
The lessons were:
1. Breastfeeding technique
2. Safe weaning
3. When to take your baby to the hospital
4. First aid training
5. First aid training (part 2)
A textbook was also prepared with health advice, so that in the future they can refer to this for advice. It was written in English by Grace and will be translated to Arabic. This way the women can keep learning. Once the lectures had finished Bring Hope distributing hygiene packages.
