Healing Project kickstarts with 80+ participants in refugee camps in Erbil. All people from different religions and places are able to help each other and make refugees smile, even just for a moment to be able to manage the difficult days which they face.
In any war or conflict, it is the children and women who are the most vulnerable and devastated and in urgent need of safe space to discuss their grief and traumatic experiences. BHHF is working to heal a whole generation of Syrian refugees from the deep and life draining trauma of violence and rebuild devastated families, in which healing project has had a big role.
Through training large numbers of children and women in proven and culturally adapted professional healing skills, it provides a chance to bring hope and resiliency to a community that has experienced profound trauma. BHHF’s unique program provides Syrian refugees with immediate healing as well as help them develop a foundation for the years to come and in doing so empowers and promotes communal healing.
