At the main warehouses of Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation, medicines and medical equipment is being loaded to help the 6000 IDP’s residing in Bajid Kandal 2 Refugee Camp. This load of humanitarian aid is because of a joint effort with JHK (Joint Help for Kurdistan) a Swedish NGO operated by Dr. Namam Ghafuri who is responsible for the clinic at this camp.
The clinic has medical physicians to treat physical problems and psychologists to treat the severe emotional and psychological problems many IDP’s experience from ISIS, the war and the migration. This clinic also has both male and female providers.
“By far” states Dr. Ghafuri, “the biggest problem is lack of medicines to treat the constant and growing needs of the people.” This camp houses Yazidi’s from the Shangal area whose migration became necessary to escape the threat from ISIS.
The camp experiences a high degree of extremely hot weather, many days in excess of 50 degrees and the camp’s children are most vulnerable to the heat. The representative from JHK expressed sincere thanks to Bring Hope for providing the approximately $188,000 in medicines and medical equipment provided 9 August 2017. The cooperation between JHK and Bring Hope will save many, many lives. To help, see bringhope.info.
