Hiwa Institution of Deaf and Mute

Fa la la la la…la la..la…la………………….24 January 2018 Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation visits the Hiwa Institution of Deaf and Mute under the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Labor and Social Affair, General Directorater of Social Care & Development, Directorate of Disabled Care / Hewler to deliver Christmas gifts, some wrapped by the generous people who work in the building called Studio that houses several small companies in the city of Malmö in the country of Sweden.

Each year one of those companies, Altitude Meetings, places a Christmas tree in the lobby of the building. For several years now, Altitude Meetings has encouraged other tenants of the building to ask their employees to share items of clothing and toys to place under the Christmas tree. They are to wrap them and attach a note indicating an appropriate age suitable for their gift.

The Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation truck took them to Amsterdam where they were loaded onto a different vessel and shipped to Ankawa in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan. The children here at the Hiwa Institution of Deaf and Mute received some of these gifts today, 24 January 2018. With smiles all around, we watch as these children are given gifts from the far away land of Sweden. What a trip, one that is well worth it when you see the faces light up with happiness.
